2010.07.26 OFF Festival regulars have grown used to the fact that man does not live on music alone. This year, however, there will be no exhibition. Instead there will be action, participation, discovery, and co-creation of the titular PLACES WHERE WE COULD GO. They will be created during the festival and for the time of the festival. These spaces will mark the intersection of a variety of energies, media (music, visual arts, literature, architecture, urban planning), meetings, and interaction with audiences. One of them will be the “off stage,” located near Scena Leśna (the Forest Stage). This stage will host two series of encounters with literature incarnate, which Artur Rojek has asked Wojciech Kuczok to conduct: Saturday, August 7 – Poeci żwawej narracji - Grzegorz Olszański, Krzysztof Śliwka, Piotr Macierzyński, Jacek Podsiadło, and Krzysztof Niewrzęda Sunday, August 8 - Chuligani prozy współczesnej - Janusz Rudnicki, Wojciech Kuczok, Dorota Masłowska, and Wojciech Stamm /Lopez Mausere/ The two final places that we will create together are proposals by German collectives. Umschichten is a group of artists involved in planning spaces from the social perspective, re-adapting abandoned and derelict locations. The other collective, Baur-Niessner-Ballistic, encourages people to participate in joint activities, proposing unexpected tasks involving cap guns. Prepare to take part in a process of construction, although it’s destruction that will be the final goal.
