| Their name comes from David Lynch’s “Wild at Heart,” but their music is their own. With their hard-core intensity, post-rock freedom, a jazz groove, and a strong focus on the accordion, Something Like Elvis were a breath of fresh air, and not just on the Polish music scene. The band went on to tour the world, and were received enthusiastically. Unfortunately, after the release of “Cigarette Smoke Phantom,” Szubin’s band ceased to exist, splintering into Contemporary Noise Quintet and Potty Umbrella. We’re glad to have them back, and we’re especially thrilled they’re coming to the Off Festival. |
